PHX Rapid Engineering LLC | Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Work & Acceptance

This Quote is based on the digital files and specifications provided by the Client. Any changes to the design, material, or tolerances after the work has commenced may result in additional charges and updated lead times. Commencement of work (payment of deposit or invoice) constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Dimensional Tolerances & Accuracy

Unless otherwise specified by the Client in writing via a technical drawing or purchase order, the following default bilateral tolerances shall apply:

  • CNC Machined Parts (Haas Mini Mill): ±0.010”

  • 3D Printed Components (Formlabs SLA/LFS): ±0.015” PHX Rapid Engineering is not liable for fitment issues resulting from tolerances tighter than these defaults if specific requirements were not disclosed and accepted at the time of quoting. Rework requested for parts that fall within these stated ranges will be subject to additional charges.

3. Material Suitability & Prototype Limitation

Parts produced via 3D printing or CNC machining are intended for Prototyping and Research & Development (R&D) purposes only. Every Formlabs SLA part undergoes a validated Form Wash and Form Cure cycle to meet material data sheet specs; however, the Client assumes all responsibility for testing and validating parts for their final application. PHX Rapid does not warrant that parts are fit for high-stress, end-use, or life-critical applications.

4. Intellectual Property (IP) & Deliverables

Contractor retains all rights to underlying methods, custom tooling designs, and preliminary CAD models developed during the project. Ownership of final specified Deliverables (e.g., physical parts or final STEP files) is transferred to the Client only upon receipt of full and final payment. All client-provided CAD data is treated as strictly confidential.

5. Taxes & Payments

All quotes are subject to Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax (9.1% Phoenix rate) unless a valid Arizona Form 5000 (Resale Certificate) is provided at the time of order. Invoices are payable via PayPal or Credit Card. Orders exceeding $1,000 require a 50% deposit before production begins.

6. Cancellations, Returns & Liability

Due to the custom nature of manufactured components, all sales are final once production has commenced. If a part fails to meet the agreed-upon tolerances or specifications, PHX Rapid will, at its discretion, rework or replace the part at no additional cost. Contractor’s total liability for any project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for that specific invoice.
